A medium-scale project inspired by the surrealist composition and subdued dynamism of Shoji Ueda’s photography. This live/work project interweaves a gallery, a studio, and a residence mediating changes in site topography. Layering opaque, translucent, and transparent elements, this dwelling of quiet backdrops always puts the human user in focus.
